We’re always looking for ways we can improve our offering to make sure that every site that is maintained by us is fully ‘emergency ready’.
In light of Grenfell, and the publication of the Hackett Report, it has been recommended that fire-fighting lifts are tested regularly. This is to ensure that they are ready for use in high-rise buildings in the case of a fire.
With this in mind, we are delighted to announce the launch of our fire-fighting lift test service. This can be booked as a stand-alone inspection or part of our Dry & Wet Riser testing and maintenance service.
In addition to this new service, we have also worked hard to further improve our Dry & Wet riser testing and maintenance contract visits. When conducting visits, we found that in many cases the risers were difficult to find on the external face of some of the buildings.
As current and former serving Fire Service professionals, we recognise that this simple layout issue can cost vital minutes when our frontline colleagues attend a fire.
Therefore, we now provide guidance on making all sites ‘emergency-ready’ by assessing signage and fixing any requirements on site. This is quoted for and charged accordingly.
If you have had a maintenance test in the past 6 months you may have already experienced the difference – if you haven’t, yours is probably due so get in touch and book yours in today.
